Rotherham United versus Nottingham Forest, Saturday, April 16

Nigel Pearson heads the betting to pick up the poisoned chalice that is the manager’s job at Nottingham Forest in the summer but, in the meantime, caretaker manager Paul Williams is tasked with keeping the Reds in the Championship. Admittedly, Forest are currently nine points clear of the relegation zone with five games to go, but the odds against them playing League 1 football next season have shortened to 25/1, in places, from 100/1 a couple of games ago and, having earned a single, solitary point from the last 33 available, the club is clearly in dire straits.

By contrast, the Millers took a huge step towards retaining their own Championship status by beating relegation rivals MK Dons 4-0 at Stadium:MK last Saturday. In fact, Neil Warnock’s side has won six and drawn two of its last eight Championship fixtures and, at 6/4 with Betvictor, looks fantastic value to compound the misery for the Forest faithful. Forest have conceded seven goals in their last three games, two of which were at home, so let’s try a punt on Rotherham to win 2-0 at 11/1 with Betvictor.

Selection: Rotherham United to win 2-0 (11/1 with Betvictor)
